The Rail Routes SJ Norge Operate Are:
The company will operate these seven routes from 11 December 2022.
The company was established on 16 September 2016 by converting the shelf company Agardh 338 AS (established on 6 July 2016). The purpose of the company was to participate in the Norwegian Railway Directorate's competitions for the public purchase of passenger train traffic in Norway . On 17 June 2019, the company was offered the tender contract for Trafikkpakke 2: Nord, which includes the seven northern passenger train routes. On 28 June, the contract with a duration of up to 10.5 years from 7 June 2020 was signed, and at the beginning of July 2019 it became known that the traffic of SJ Norge will be marketed under the name ''Nord''. Of the subcontractors, a contract has been entered into with Elite Service Partner for cleaning, with Mantena for technical maintenance, and with Nobina for bus and train services. Several years in advance, Bane NOR had planned the weekend for the start of traffic as a train-free working weekend on the Dovrebanen, which the Norwegian Railway Directorate did not become aware of until March 2019. The Directorate tried to pressure Bane NOR to move the working weekend in order to give SJ Norge the opportunity to run all train on the first day, but Bane NOR finally said no to changing it in November 2019 because it would have too great practical consequences for many parties. In January 2020, the problem was solved by Vy agreeing to run one extra day, and the start of traffic for SJ Norge was moved from Sunday 7 to Monday 8 June. SJ Norge Train Equipment From the start of traffic on Trafikkpakke 2: Nord on 8 June 2020, the company rents the following types of equipment from equipment owner Norske tog . In addition, SJ has the opportunity to use its own equipment, provided that it is approved for traffic in Norway. Starting in 2021, the first bimodal Type 76 were introduced to gradually replace the Type 92 . Subsequently, several of the 92 sets have been scrapped.
